Hey there!

Tinesar Priester, MPA

I’m Tinesar Priester, MPA, a nonprofit strategist who absolutely LOVES nonprofit work. It’s been my career for over 25 years and I still love it. Around 2006, I set out to achieve three goals: serve as an Executive Director, teach on the collegiate level, and grow my business. I created a plan, executed it and I am proud to say I reached all three of those goals in less than 8 years. (Oh, and did I mention I moved halfway across the country during that time?!)

But that was just the beginning. My success didn’t stop there.

Achieving those goals inspired me to do more and I wrote a book, “Nonprofit Launch: Your 30 Day Guide to Define, Develop and Deliver Your Nonprofit Vision”, served on a national board of directors, led grant writing workshops at national conferences, served as a volunteer instructor for the Delaware Money School and managed millions in grant funds.

Throughout my nonprofit career, I’ve connected with hundreds of nonprofit visionaries and leaders. And just like you I was on my own nonprofit journey.

Imagine having the job you dreamed of, studied for and prayed for—only to get in the position and realize you weren’t as prepared as you thought you were. Add to that the pressure to succeed, the pressure to make all the right decisions, the pressure to raise more money and serve more customers… and do all of that in an environment that is isolating. Sounds crazy, right?

That was my story as a nonprofit executive director. Leadership is a lonely path. I needed help and I needed a community. I researched consulting agencies but…

  • the fees were through the roof

  • the support was not comprehensive

  • the advice was aimed at the big nonprofits

  • they were stuffy and way too formal

I needed a resource that was aware of the issues impacting small nonprofits. It needed to be thorough, budget-friendly and transformational.

Finding nothing, I took matters into my own hands and created the Nonprofit Fitness Center™.

The Nonprofit Fitness Center™ is where founders and leaders of small (and super small) nonprofits receive guided business development support through consultations, courses, and workshops. Based on the concept of working out to become FIT, membership connects you with resources, experts, and exercises built with you in mind. I learned A LOT in my 12 years as an Executive Director and I’m ready to share it.

No matter where you are in your journey, your nonprofit will be FIT in no time!
